Ownership & history:

Wine has been made at Nénin since 1940. In 1987, the estate was bought by the Delon family, owners of Léoville Las Cases in the Médoc, who proceeded to restructure the vineyard and vastly improve the quality of the wines.

Vineyard & location:

The property is on the southern side of the Pomerol plateau.

Harvest, vinification & ageing:

A lot of work goes on in the vineyard: de-budding, leaf-thinning and green harvests, for example. The grapes are picked by hand, and 20% of the resulting wine is aged in new oak.

Tasting:

Decanter : "Rich, ripe and seductive. Palate round and voluptuous. Oozes fruit. Excellent quality and value for a second wine. Drink 2014-2024".
