Ownership & history:

Vignobles Courselle (Courselle Vineyards) started out in 1952. In 1972, Francis Courselle, a young engineer and oenology professor, took charge. Over the course of the next thirty years, the size of the estate increased from four to 80 hectares, spread over three properties: Château Thieuley, Clos Saint-Anne and Château Saint-Genès. Francis's daughters Sylvie and Marie now run the show and have inherited the family passion and talent. Château Thieuley has firmly cemented itself in the top five white, rosé and red Bordeaux producers with an international reputation for excellence.

Harvest, vinification & ageing:

Brief skin contact maceration at cold temperature in order to extract the primary fruity and floral flavours from the grapes. After a natural sedimentation of the juice, the fermentation is carried out in stainless steel tanks to keep the grapes' freshness. An early bottling, six months after the harvest, is one of the factors that contributes to the final quality of the product.


Good aromatic intensity with citrus and pineapple aromas. Fresh, lively structure, with intense floral notes (elderflower). Precise and aromatic. Pairing with seafood, fish, salads and cheese (brie).
