Ownership & history:

Domaine de Sancet has been in the same family for four generations. Current owner Alain Faget devotes a lot of his time to local politics in his role as Mayor of Saint-Martin d'Armagnac, so a lot of the winemaking responsibilities have now been handed over to his son.

Harvest, vinification & ageing:

Clean and crisp, with aromas of citrus/tropical fruits. A touch of sweetness gives the wines softness whilst a vibrant acidity keeps the wine lively. It is excellent as an aperitif, but also goes well with seafood, oysters in particular. White meats and strong cheeses also make good pairings.

Tasting:

Prior to fermentation, cold maceration (6°C) is carried out for ten days. This helps maintain the primary fruit aromas in theresulting wine. Vinfication is carried out entirely in stainless steel.
